Our Doctor
Dr. Ashley Benson is the owner and veterinarian behind Voyage Veterinary Center.
Originally from Maryland, Dr. Benson began her academic path at Virginia Tech, earning degrees in Animal Science and Dairy Science, and then completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida.
Dr. Benson has spent her career serving pets and families across the First Coast, including St. Johns and Duval Counties. She is also a proud member of the Jacksonville Veterinary Medical Society (JVMS), American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), and Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA).
Her clinical interests include preventive care, dentistry, pathology, cardiology, ophthalmology, and internal medicine, with a strong focus on evidence-based care tailored to each patient. Client education is central to her approach. Dr. Benson believes the best outcomes come when pet owners feel informed, confident, and supported.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys life with her husband and two children, spending time at the beach, traveling and cruising, going to Disney, and cheering on the Florida Gators, Virginia Tech Hokies, and Washington Capitals.
